Today is also the 600th Jayanti of Annamacharya….

And it is Buddha Poornima…Triple holy day of Gautama Buddha – Birth, Enlightenment, Nirvana…

    It’s called Vesak in Singapore and Malaysia. It’s a public holiday there🙂

    The day for the Lord Chithiragupthan also,who maintains the records of sins and virtues of people which decides re-birth.Many do puja and give away 9 kind of fruits and 9pulses and dakshinai to Pandits.One temple at Kanchipuram near thearadi,for Chithiragupthan will be holding Eshuthani.(pen).Maha periyava too visited here.
